The Promptists Pledge
This is not a gig site. It's a guild. These are the rules.
-
1. We're here to do the work not build personal brands.
No TikTok handles. No Insta tags. No LinkedIn promos. First names only. We let the work speak, not the follower count.
-
2. What happens in the community stays in the community.
Clients you meet here are part of the shared ecosystem. Poaching them for off-platform deals will get you (and the client) banned. We don't hustle the village; we grow it.
-
3. Celebrate others. Always. Upvote, critique, collaborate.
But leave ego at the door. No snark, no shade, no backchannel drama. Great work lifts the bar for all of us. Applaud it.
-
4. It's not a race to the bottom.
Prompting is craft. It's art. It's architecture. Price it accordingly. Lowballing diminishes the entire movement. You're not undercutting your peers, you're undermining the profession.
-
5. Originality above all.
Don't copy prompts. Don't clone styles. Remix, reinterpret, evolve. We honour influence, but we reward invention. Ask yourself: Is this mine? Or just borrowed brilliance?
-
6. Don't feed the machines unethically.
No uploading client data, copyrighted material, or anything you don't have rights to. Protect IP. Respect authorship. The future of prompting depends on it.
-
7. No gatekeeping.
No elitism. Everyone starts somewhere. Be generous with knowledge, but never condescending. We're here to share, not show off.
-
8. Feedback is a gift.
Give it with care. Offer critique that builds, not breaks. Score fairly. Share context. Be constructive, not performative. This isn't social media. You're not scoring points, you're sculpting peers.
-
9. One identity. One voice.
No alts. No sock puppets. No gaming the system. You are who you are. That's enough.
-
10. Represent The Promptists well.
When you work with a client through this platform, you carry the reputation of the whole community. Be professional. Be responsive. Be excellent. You don't just represent yourself, you represent us all.
